Wang Fu Chinese Bistro in Tomas Morato, Quezon City

September 15, 2013

Wang Fu Chinese Bistro
Unit 201 Tomas Morato Plaza (same bldg. as UCC)
Sacred Heart, Quezon City

No, we did not go out for breakfast this morning because DH and I already went out on a date last night together with some of our closest friends. But we ended up eating out for lunch at Wang Fu with a sleeping #babyMartinez in tow. Day off kasi ng cook!

Singapore Style Fried Chicken PhP 288

DH and I both liked this dish called Singapore Style Fried Chicken. This dish is not made up of chicken fillet but chicken parts with generous amount of pepper and spices. It was not saucy, just enough to coat the skin of the chicken.

What else did we order? Read more after the break...

 Seafood Green Soup Php 228

This is more like Spinach soup because I don't see much of the seafood lol It tasted good though.

Crunchy Sweet and Sour Pork with Lychee PhP 278

I still like my Sweet and Sour Pork with pineapple. This dish is meaty but lacking the crunch.

Seafood Crispy Fried Noodles PhP 298

Seafood Crispy Fried Noodles PhP 298

To avoid eating a soggy Seafood Crispy Fried Noodles, we asked the waiter to separate the fried noodles from its sauce. As with Seafood Green Soup, I only saw a piece of prawn and a few slices of squid and that's it. I think we should have ordered Beef Crispy Fried Noodles (PhP 228) or Wang Fu Beef Noodles (PhP 228) instead.

Plain rice costs PhP 58 each. Service was slow even though the restaurant was not full. That's what you get when the restaurant is on Soft Opening stage. I'll give it a month or two to improve and get around with the service. The food is okay so I will definitely be back to check it out!
